We provide a structured learning environment that empowers children to thrive—all from the comfort of home.
Why MindMentorz?
- We use ChessKid-based circular curriculum to provide the child with a continuous learning environment. A circular curriculum is where the concepts are taught and reaffirmed again to ensure proper understanding.
- Like any other game, chess too needs constant practise. The concepts learned in class, needs to be practised on ChessKid to ensure thorough learning and improvment of the game. We track the rating and provide feedback.
- The class levels are defined based on the rating on ChessKid. While initial levels from Absolute Beginner till Lower Beginner are promoted based on classes attended, futher level promotions are based on rating.
Our Class Structure
- In both online and offline classes, we conduct group classes with a limited batch size to ensure individual attention to each child. Our coaches help the child understand the concepts with ease for faster learning.
- After every 16 classes, we provide you with feedback on how well your child is progressing. The Coach looks into the games played on ChessKid to help the child understand the mistakes and how to progress the rating.
- Each class is of one hour duration where the Coach teaches a concept, conducts game play sessions and puzzle solving. We recommend a minimum of 2 sessions per week.

Does MindMentorz provide One-on-One chess classes?
No, we do not and that is for a reason, as below:
Reason: One-on-one is not an interesting format for kids to learn chess. If the idea of chess is to help kids improve their cognitive thinking, it needs to be dealt differently. Not like a school subject learning that is often along the lines of non-cognitive towards marks scoring!
Chess is both entertaining & complicated brain gym for kids. They exercise their brains and learn better when there are other kids around in a fun way.
Does MindMentorz conduct tournaments?
Yes, we do conduct online chess tournaments for students at Mind Mentorz Club only.
- We conduct practice tournaments within the classroom format to help students understand the need for competitive level playing. This is from Upper Beginner level learning.
- Daily automated 1 hour chess tournament from 7 to 8 pm on ChessKid platform. This runs unattended and offers kids to have a playground to practice every single day.
Twice a month, we have prized tournament with a small fee of Rs. 354/-. Winners are rewarded with cash prize that could be used to pay for coaching fee and ChessKid subscription renewals and Certificates.
Why should every child also learn chess online?
Children should engage with certain types of technology that can help them develop. Online scholastic chess is one such!
Online chess provides kids opportunities to express themselves, such as:
– INTERACTIONS – Brings social interactions between students, and between students and tutors / coaches, enabling cognitive conflict and cooperation
– EXPLORATION – Analysis of chess games is direct, hands-on investigation which facilitates higher order thinking
Online chess is not like other internet games that are designed only for entertainment.
