We MindMentorz Chess Academy are excited to celebrate a special achievement by one of our young chess talents, Sankeerth Abhijay B.A., who recently won the Youngest Boy Award at the 15th SCMA Trophy held in Hubballi. The tournament, organized by the Sri Sadguru Chessmartz and Music Academy in association with the Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram, saw intense competition, and Sankeerth’s exceptional skills on the chessboard shone brightly.

The 15th SCMA Trophy was an Open Rapid Chess Tournament that attracted chess enthusiasts from various age groups across the region. Sankeerth, one of the youngest participants, demonstrated remarkable maturity and focus throughout the tournament. Competing against seasoned players, his determination, composure, and deep understanding of the game earned him this prestigious recognition.

The event, hosted on 20th October 2024 at the Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram in Hubballi, was filled with excitement and competitive spirit. With a prize pool that included cash awards and 61 trophies and medals, it was a high-energy day for all participants. The tournament followed a Swiss League format with seven rounds, testing every player’s strategic capabilities and endurance.
